Empowering people, one smile at a time.
Ohana Physiotherapy is a family-owned Gold Coast clinic based in Robina, offering paediatric physiotherapy, NDIS physiotherapy, adult rehabilitation, and hydrotherapy across the Gold Coast and Tweed Coast.
Our team doesn’t just treat “conditions” we support people. We work side-by-side with families and their support networks to build independence and strength, whether that’s through play-based therapy for your child or a practical recovery plan for you.
We know life is busy, so we’ve made high-quality care accessible. Visit us at our Robina clinic, or we can come to you at home, at school, or in community settings including local parks, pools, and gymnasiums.

FAQs
Do you provide physiotherapy under the NDIS?
Yes — we support self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, as well as private and Medicare plans. We collaborate with support coordinators and allied health teams to align therapy with physical goals and functional outcomes.
What is paediatric physiotherapy?
Paediatric physiotherapy focuses on strength, coordination, balance and movement skills tailored to each child’s physical goals. This includes support for motor development, mobility challenges and physical function across childhood.
Which areas do your mobile physiotherapists cover?
Our mobile physiotherapy services are available across the Gold Coast, from Ormeau to Tweed Coast and as far south as Pottsville. We proudly serve a wide range of suburbs, including but not limited to: Surfers Paradise, Southport, Robina, Burleigh, Coolangatta, Broadbeach, Nerang, Palm Beach, Mermaid, Helensvale, Mudgeeraba, Coomera, Upper Coomera, Oxenford and Ashmore. Whether at your home, school, or community setting, we make therapy as convenient as possible.
How does mobile paediatric physiotherapy benefit my child?
Mobile therapy brings movement-focused physiotherapy into familiar environments like home or school, helping build skills that transfer to everyday life.
How Often Should My Child See a Paediatric Physiotherapist?
The frequency of visits to a paediatric physiotherapist varies greatly from child to child. What truly matters isn’t the number of appointments – whether weekly, fortnightly, or monthly – but rather the daily activities you implement based on your physio’s guidance. A paediatric physiotherapist’s primary role is to equip you with strategies and exercises to support your child’s growth and development. As your child progresses, these activities will be adapted and advanced by your physiotherapist.
Appointment schedules often change over time. Initially, your child might require regular sessions to establish a strong foundation. As they improve, these appointments may become less frequent, serving more as occasional ‘check-ins’ to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
There is a lot of brain connections growing in the early years (neuroplasticity) so if you have a particular goal eg learn to walk; the more the better see our intensive programs.
Do you offer physiotherapy for babies?
Yes — we support babies and toddlers with physical and motor development concerns, helping families integrate therapeutic strategies at home. Learn more aout our physio for babies.
What types of assistive technology can you help with?
Our physiotherapists can guide you in selecting the right assistive technology for your child’s unique needs and goals. We support a wide range of equipment including walkers, wheelchairs (manual and powered), complex seating systems, standing frames, floor hoists, and disability bikes.
Do you offer Telehealth physiotherapy appointments?
Yes, we provide Telehealth consultations for both local and regional clients. These sessions include assessments, guided movements, exercise plans, and personalised advice – all from the comfort of your home, with active involvement from parents or caregivers.
What are Body Orthoses and how can they help my child?
Body Orthoses are custom or off-the-shelf devices like AFOs, SPIO suits, and second skins that support posture, movement, and mobility. Our team works closely with orthotists to select the right orthotic device for your child’s needs as part of a holistic physiotherapy plan.
What's the difference between CME and DMI in intensive therapy?
Both CME (Cuevas Medek Exercise) and DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention) are intensive therapies designed to stimulate motor development in children with neuromuscular or developmental conditions. Our therapists are trained in both methods and will tailor the approach to suit your child’s specific goals.
Can you help with post-surgical physiotherapy?
Absolutely. We provide both pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation to help you or your child recover quickly and safely. Our programs are designed to reduce pain, restore movement, and strengthen the body following surgeries such as joint replacements, spinal procedures, and ligament reconstructions.
What conditions do your neurological rehabilitation programs treat?
Our neurological rehabilitation services support individuals recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions. The program is customised to enhance mobility, coordination, strength, and independence.
